@emotionaloranges is an anonymous R&B/pop collective.
Its singer/audio engineer and vocalist simply go by the letters “A” and “V” (respectively). Both members are passionate about their music, so much so, that don’t want their names, faces, or appearances to get in the way of the listening experience.
“Identity is typically associated with your name and face. We wanted our identity to be the characters that we’ve created a world for — the lyrics, production, art, the way we roll out music and engage with the fans. When you come to the shows, you get to experience our personalities a bit more, but we want to save that for the Emotional Oranges family,” said A in a BillBoard interview.
A grew up playing the piano and violin, and was a music engineer for Drake when he met V at a bar mitzvah several years ago. V went to school for musical theater and was Adele’s vocal coach for a time, too.
You’ve most likely head their song “West Coast Love” or, if you’re a “RuPaul’s Drag Race” fan, you’ll recognize their song “Motion” as the theme song from 2018’s season. We HIGHLY recommend their latest single “Down to Miami” featuring Becky G if you’re looking for a song for your summer playlist.
